Optimizing bend loss in optical waveguide channel routing on photonic integrated circuits

Silicon photonics (Si-photonics) has been established as a potential technology that integrates both electronic and optical circuits on single integrated (ICs) in order to satisfy the increasing demand for high speed low power emerging market of ICs. It opened up research directions domain design automation photonic On physical layout circuits, it is challenging task obtain optimal routing waveguides, while minimizing all parameters like number tracks, total bend loss, worst signal propagation loss crossing loss. In this paper, we proposed two non-Manhattan grid-based methods reducing tracks channel routing. First, 0–1 integer linear programming-based algorithm called (MBL) proposed, which minimizes (TBL) (WSL) (T) over state-of-the-art technique. The execution time MBL very large input.
